1、 Installation precautions for German HBM column load cell

 

1. Please handle with careLoad Cell!

2. The weighing sensor is a precision sensor, so the achievable accuracy largely depends on the correct assembly!

3. Install the weighing device using a suitable lifting device!

4. Do not overload the load cell, even if it is temporary (such as unevenly distributed support loads)!

5. When performing calibration work that may damage the weighing sensor, use a contour prosthesis!

6. Ensure that point loads are applied in the measurement direction of the load cell. Use spherical thrust pads with sufficient radius (HBM attachment).

7. Avoid lateral forces and moments.

8. Provide lifting protection devices and limiters based on actual design!

9. Place the force introduction point of the weighing sensor at the same level. For this purpose, install the accessories including gaskets!

10. To protect the weighing sensor from damage, the following points should be noted:

--Unilateral thermal radiation

--Impact caused by subsequent welding work

--The main temperature change!

2、 Preparation for Assembly of German HBM Column Load Cell

 

1. The surface or foundation on site must be level and aligned horizontally.

2. The contact area (load cell base plate) must meet special requirements (such as thermal expansion coefficient 11⋅ 10-6/K).

3. To ensure proper functionality, always use the original packagingGerman HBMSubstrate.

 

3、 Precautions for Cable Layout of German HBM Column Load Cell

 

When arranging the connecting cable of the weighing sensor, excessive humidity may cause condensation water to drip downwards, and these condensation water must not enter the weighing sensor in any way. In the connection area at the end of the cable, users must ensure that no moisture enters the open cable.

In addition, there are several precautions to note:

1. The wiring of cables must ensure that the outer sheath is not damaged due to friction and/or self movement during daily operations.

2. The weighing sensor is designed using four wire technology; It is not allowed to shorten the cable.

3. To maintain full accuracy, cable extension should use six wire technology.

4. The cable is suitable for fixed wiring and should not be bent. The minimum laying radius should not be less than 300 mm. Tensile strain and twisting of cables during and after installation are not allowed.
