1. Environmental temperature

Compensated for the influence of temperature on zero signal and sensitivity.

In order to obtain the best measurement results, it is necessary to adhere to the nominal (rated) temperature range. A constant or slowly changing temperature is the best choice. Measurement errors related to temperature are caused by unilateral heating (such as radiant heat) or cooling. Radiation shielding and all-round insulation can produce significant improvements, but forced diverters should not be installed.

2. Moisture

According to the DIN EN 60529 standard, the U93 series force sensors are sealed by airtight welding, achieving IP67 protection level (test conditions: 100 hours under 1 meter of water column). However, the force sensor should be protected from permanent exposure to moisture.

Comment:

① Do not allow moisture to penetrate the free end of the connecting cable. Otherwise, the characteristic values of the sensor may change, resulting in incorrect measurement.

② Sensors must be protected from chemical attack on the sensor body steel or cables. For stainless steel force sensors, please note that acids and all materials that release ions can also corrode stainless steel and its welds. If there is any corrosion, it may cause the force sensor to fail. In this case, appropriate protective measures must be taken.

3. Accumulation

Dust, dirt, and other foreign objects must not accumulate to the extent that they are sufficient to transfer some of the measurement force, thereby rendering the measurement invalid (force diversion).

Comment:

If dust or dirt deposits inside the force sensor, it may cause measurement errors.
