The single point weighing sensor can compensate for bending, and can construct the scale structure in the most economical way. It is commonly used in electronic scales and platform scales. The capacity of a single point weighing sensor is often in the range of several kilograms to hundreds of kilograms.

Column type weighing sensors are suitable for large-scale scale applications. Column type weighing sensors are commonly used for weighing material tanks, silos, and truck scales, and in most cases are used in conjunction with weighing modules, with a common capacity of hundreds of kilograms to hundreds of tons.

The S-type weighing sensor is suitable for tensile loads, such as suspended hoppers, tensile testing machines, hook scales, etc. The S-type weighing sensor can also be applied in a compression type, therefore it belongs to a dual purpose sensor of tension and compression. The commonly used capacity of S-type load cells ranges from 50 kilograms to 1 ton.

The main materials used for weighing sensors are alloy steel, aluminum alloy, and stainless steel, while other types of materials are not common. The selection of weighing sensor materials should take into account the actual usage environment. Aluminum alloy materials are commonly used in single point sensors, which are not affected by the environment inside the scale body. Alloy steel and stainless steel materials are mainly used in places directly exposed to the environment, such as cantilever beam and column types, and have certain requirements for corrosion resistance, waterproofing, etc. Alloy steel materials usually also have a layer of nickel plated on the surface to increase corrosion resistance.
