1、 The following principles shall be followed during mold installation:
1. Pay attention to the safety of the operator.
2. Ensure that the molds and equipment are not damaged during debugging. When installing the mold, the injection machine button should be selected in& Ldquo; Adjust& Rdquo; Place all functions of the machine under the manual control of the debugger. And the power should be turned off to avoid accidents.
Before installing and debugging the mold, the operator should carefully read the mold assembly drawing, implement the technical requirements proposed in the assembly drawing one by one, and understand the basic structure, action process, and precautions of the mold through the final assembly drawing.
During the second pre inspection, the main tasks are to complete the following.
1. Is the overall height and overall dimensions of the mold consistent with the size conditions of the selected injection machine.
2. Is there a dedicated lifting ring or lifting ring hole in the mold? Can the position of the lifting ring hole ensure that the mold is in a balanced lifting state.
3. If the mold has a pneumatic or hydraulic structure, are its accessories complete; Whether the control components such as valves and travel switches operate flexibly.
4. The closed state of the mold must have a locking plate to prevent accidental opening of the mold during lifting, which may cause accidents.
5. For molds with side core pulling structures, some core pulling directions have requirements and their installation orientation must not be changed.
6. Use the mold pressing plate to fix the mold.
3、 Installing injection molds is a technical activity, and good tools can ensure the quality of injection molded products while extending the service life of the molds. Next, we will first learn the installation method of the injection mold head.
(1) After testing and confirming that the qualified mold head is qualified, first install part 12. If there is a transition sleeve (part 15), it needs to be equipped with a transition sleeve, and connect part 12 to part 14 through bolts; Before the final tightening of the two, use a level to adjust the longitudinal and transverse levelness of the mold head (note that during leveling, do not use iron tools or other heavy blows on the outer side of the mold head plate to avoid damage to the positioning system and a decrease in positioning accuracy). The tightening of screws should be carried out step by step in order to ensure uniform and reasonable tightening force.
(2) Select a suitable heating plate (circle) according to the overall size of the mold head, and fasten it with screws based on the thermocouple hole position to ensure close contact between the heating plate (circle) and the mold head.
(3) Insert the thermocouple and adjust its probe to fit tightly against the measuring surface, then connect the heating plate (coil) power plug (note that the voltage of both should match). The heating of the mold head should be carried out in sections. Generally, the temperature of each section should be adjusted to 140 ℃ first, and when the temperature rises to 140 ℃, it should be kept warm for 30-40 minutes. Then, the temperature should be raised to the normal production temperature.
(4) After the temperature of the mold head rises to the predetermined value, it is necessary to tighten the bolts on parts 16, 17, and the flange again. Only after ensuring reliable fastening can the machine be started to prevent material overflow.
4、 Mold pre inspection
Before installing the injection molding machine on the mold, inspection should be carried out to promptly identify quality issues. Mold repair should be carried out to avoid disassembly after installation. When inspecting the fixed template and moving template separately, attention should be paid to direction markings to avoid errors during mold closing.
5、 Installation of inclined guide mold
When installing the mold, two people should closely cooperate and pay attention to safety. If there is a mold with a lateral parting mechanism, the slider should be installed in a horizontal position, that is, the movable block should move left and right.
6、 Mold fastening
After the positioning ring of the mold is installed into the positioning ring seat of the fixed template on the injection molding machine, close the mold at a very slow speed, and gently press the mold with the moving template. Then, install a compression plate, and make sure to install a gasket on the compression plate. The compression plate must be installed with 4 pieces each up and down. When pressing the plate, it is necessary to adjust the height of the adjusting screw to be the same as the mold foot, that is, the compression plate must be flat. If the clamping plate is inclined, the mold foot cannot be pressed very tightly. The side of the clamping plate should not be close to the mold to avoid friction and damage to the mold.
7、 Adjusting the ejection distance of the top rod
After the mold is tightened, slowly start the mold until the moving template stops retreating. This is because the position of the ejector rod should be adjusted to leave a gap of no less than 5mm between the ejector plate on the mold and the bottom plate of the moving mold to prevent damage to the mold while also ejecting the parts.
8、 Adjusting the tightness of the closed mold
To prevent edge overflow and ensure proper venting of the chamber, adjust the hydraulic plug; Flash& Amp; Flash; When using the elbow joint locking mechanism, it is mainly based on visual inspection and experience, that is, when closing the mold, the elbow joint is first fast and then slow, which is not very natural or forced to straighten, and the tightness of the closed mold is just right. For molds that require mold temperature, the tightness of the closed mold should be calibrated after the mold temperature is raised.
9、 Connect cooling water
After connecting the cooling water, it should be checked for smoothness and water leakage.
