Used in electronic scalesWeighing instruments belong to the category of precision instruments, and should be installed, used, and maintained in accordance with the requirements in the manual to ensure that the instrument displays in the best state. Otherwise, it may cause damage to the instrument or shorten its service life. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the following usage and maintenance precautions throughout the entire use process of weighing instruments.
1. Installation: The installation position of weighing instruments should generally be selected in a clean, dry, ventilated, and temperature appropriate environment. The position of the instrument must be fixed and should not be moved frequently, as it may cause the internal leads of the signal cable plug to fall off, leading to faults.
2. Power supply: Most weighing instruments use a 220V AC power supply (such as series 8142, 8530, etc.), and the allowable range of voltage variation is generally 187 volts to 242 volts. After changing the power circuit, it is important to first measure whether the voltage meets the requirements before powering on the instrument. To prevent excessive voltage from damaging the instrument. In situations where the power supply voltage fluctuates significantly, a high-performance voltage regulator (such as CW type AC parameter regulator) should be equipped to ensure the normal use of the instrument. Do not use the same power socket as strong interference sources (such as electric motors, bells, and fluorescent lights) to avoid unstable instrument display values caused by interference. Some instruments (such as HAWK meters) are used for both AC and DC purposes. When using a dry battery, it should be noted that battery leakage can damage the instrument. When not using battery power for a long time, the battery should be removed in a timely manner.
3. Grounding:The weighing instrument should be connected to an independent and good grounding wire (with a grounding resistance of<4& Omega; and the grounding lead should be as short as possible). The grounding wire has a dual function: it not only protects the personal safety of operators, but also has an important anti-interference effect. It can ensure the stable operation of the instrument. The grounding wire is connected to the instrument power socket. If the instrument grounding wire is connected to a public strong current protection grounding wire, it may cause power interference to the instrument and cause fluctuations in the displayed value of the instrument. Regularly check if the ground wire connection points are in good contact. Because after a long period of time, each connection point will gradually produce oxidation, rust, and other conditions, which will make the instrument actually ineffective.
4. Sunscreen: Avoid direct sunlight on the instrument casing, otherwise it may cause deviation or damage to the operating environment of the instrument beyond the rated temperature range.
5. Waterproof: In general, although the humidity of the instrument working environment can reach 95%, it is stipulated that condensation cannot occur. Except for special stainless steel casing instruments with waterproof function. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid working environments that are too humid as much as possible.
6. Corrosion prevention: Corrosive substances must not penetrate into the interior of the instrument, otherwise they may cause corrosion to the components on the circuit board and the circuit board itself. Over time, the instrument may be scrapped. Even instruments with anti-corrosion functions, if not tightly sealed, will have the same result.
7. Lightning protection: Electronic scales belong to weak current systems and are prone to damage to components due to lightning strikes. Lightning mainly enters the instrument from two aspects: introduced by the power line and introduced by the weighing platform through the signal cable. Under normal weather, the operator only needs to operate the power switch, but in the event of a close range lightning strike, the instrument power plug and the signal cable plug of the weighing platform must be unplugged. It is best to take lightning protection measures, such as adding surge protectors in the instrument power circuit.
8. Anti strong current: Accidentally connecting the live wire of a power supply above 220V to the weighing platform or using the weighing platform as a ground wire, welding operations on the weighing platform may damage the instrument.
9. Cleaning: In industrial environments, there may be dust accumulation or contamination on the instrument casing, and it must be cleaned frequently with a damp cloth during power outages. But it should be noted that solvents such as alcohol should not be used to wipe the display window, as this will deteriorate the transparency and make the display blurry.
10. Anti static: Once the instrument is damaged, it must be sent for repair. Be sure to pay attention to anti-static issues during the repair process. When removing a PCB board, hold the four corners of the board by hand and do not touch the area with integrated block pins. Because this can easily cause static electricity to damage the integrated block. The removed PCB board should be immediately packed into a shielding bag, and can be wrapped in regular newspapers without a shielding bag. If the board is placed casually on a highly insulated desktop, it may damage the PCB board. When receiving a repaired PCB board and reinstalling the instrument, it is also important to pay attention to anti-static measures.
11. Anti vibration: When transporting the instrument, it is best to place it in the original packaging box or take appropriate anti vibration measures.
12. Explosion proof: If the instrument is used in a composite or intrinsically safe explosion-proof system, relevant explosion-proof regulations should be followed.
13. Responsibilities: The electronic weighing system is a relatively advanced weighing system that should be operated and maintained by trained personnel. Nowadays, most weighing instruments determine the function and performance of the weighing instrument through parameter settings and calibration on software. Once these parameters are arbitrarily changed, it may affect the accuracy and functionality of weighing (such as not printing or communicating). Therefore, it is also very important to determine the respective responsibilities of operators and maintenance personnel.
Reminder for daily maintenance of electronic truck scales:
Having a good usage environment and regular maintenance plan can maximize the accuracy and reliability of the entire weighing system, and extend the service life of the electronic weighing instrument. The purpose of maintenance and upkeep is to prioritize prevention, take preventive measures, and ensure the normal display of weighing instruments.
