Common faults of pressure sensors

1、 The pressure can rise, but the transmitter output cannot rise

In this situation, it is necessary to first check whether the pressure interface is leaking or blocked. If it is confirmed that it is not, check the wiring method for errors and check the power supply. If the power supply is normal, simply pressurize it to see if the output has changed, or check if the zero position of the sensor has output. If it does not change, the sensor is damaged. Otherwise, it is a problem with the instrument or other parts of the entire system.

IIFailure of pressure sensor sealing ring

The first pressurization did not change the transmitter output, but the sudden change in the transmitter output after re pressurization caused the transmitter to fail to return to its zero position after pressure relief, which is likely due to a problem with the pressure sensor sealing ring. A common situation is that due to the specifications of the sealing ring, after the sensor is tightened, the sealing ring is compressed into the pressure inlet of the sensor, thereby blocking the sensor. When pressurized, the pressure medium cannot enter, but when the pressure is high, the sealing ring suddenly bursts open, causing the pressure sensor to change under pressure. The best way to eliminate this fault is to remove the sensor and directly check if the zero position is normal. If the zero position is normal, replace the sealing ring and try again.

3、 The output signal of the transmitter is unstable

This type of malfunction can definitely be a problem with the pressure source. The pressure source itself is an unstable pressure, which is likely due to the weak anti-interference ability of the instrument or pressure sensor, severe vibration of the sensor itself, or damage to the sensor.

4、 The deviation between the transmitter and the pointer pressure gauge is large

The occurrence of such deviation is a normal phenomenon, and confirmation of the normal deviation range is sufficient; The last common fault is the impact of the installation position of the micro differential pressure transmitter on the zero output. Due to its small measurement range, the sensing components in the micro differential pressure transmitter can affect its output. When installing, the pressure sensitive component of the transmitter should be perpendicular to the gravity direction at an axial angle of 90 degrees. After installation and fixation, remember to adjust the zero position of the transmitter to the standard value.
