Automobile scaleElectronic weighbridges have become the main tool for weighing bulk materials and bulk materials. Due to various factors, the weighbridge may fail to weigh properly. This article introduces common faults and solutions of the weighbridge as follows:
The electronic weighbridge mainly consists of three main components: a load-bearing transmission mechanism (scale body), a high-precision weighing sensor, and a weighing display instrument. The faults of electronic weighing scales can be basically divided into two types: common faults and special faults.
1、 Malfunctions caused by unreasonable design and installation
Fault analysis: During the installation and debugging of two weighbridges in a certain factory, it was found that the two weighbridges interfered with each other, and the control system sometimes failed to operate according to the specified program, often resulting in misoperation.
Solution: The wiring of the two weighbridges is connected using a four wire system. Due to the large temperature difference between winter and summer, the error is caused by the variation of wire resistance with temperature. Therefore, the four wire system can be changed to a six wire system to solve the problem.
2、 The Shortcomings of Electronic Weighbridge Components
Fault analysis: After installation and calibration, it was found that the weight displayed on the display instrument varied, and the number displayed on the instrument was also related to the placement of weights, making it impossible to perform normal calibration. After inspection, the connection line of the sensor is correct, and there are no faults in the display instrument and mechanical parts.
Solution: There is an error in the internal wiring of the weighing sensor. Due to the reverse connection of the positive and negative poles of the internal leads of the bridge voltage or signal during the packaging of the sensor before leaving the factory, the above fault occurred when connecting according to the normal color code during installation. After changing the connection, recalibration was carried out, and the above phenomenon was eliminated.
3、 Malfunctions of electronic weighbridge during use
1. Weighing data keeps bouncing
Fault analysis: The instrument display is unstable, ranging from tens of kilograms to hundreds or thousands of kilograms constantly changing
Solution: The analog part of the instrument is damaged, the power supply is faulty, there are debris below the sensor, the junction box, cables are faulty (the main line of the junction box is damaged or in poor contact), causing signal changes. There are debris blockages between the weighing platform and the foundation, and there is no gap between the limit bolt and the foundation.
2. Power-on without self check
Fault analysis: After the instrument is powered on, there is no display or partial stroke segments, and some are accompanied by a buzzer.
Solution: There is a malfunction in the external 220V power supply and power supply circuit (circuit, fuse, internal transformer, and three-terminal stabilized power supply), the instrument PCB board is damaged or the LED display tube is damaged or the wiring is disconnected.
3. Inaccurate weighing of the weighbridge
Fault analysis: The weighing error is relatively large.
Solution: There are issues with the scale platform and foundation, inaccurate instrument calibration, faulty analog part of the instrument, problems with sensors and junction boxes, and errors in the four corners.
4. The instrument does not return to zero after weighing
Fault analysis: When the power is turned on and turned on, the instrument will display a non zero value after self checking, with an error prompt or a relatively stable value displayed, or a positive or negative value displayed after the vehicle is unloaded during weighing, without displaying the zero position.
Solution: There is a malfunction in the amplification part of the instrument, changes in sensor performance (hysteresis, drift, etc.), and debris blocking between the scale body and the foundation.
5. The instrument displays a negative number
Fault analysis: If the XK3190 series instrument displays [Err03] positive overload or [Err02] negative overload.
Solution: The instrument is damaged, the power supply to the bridge is abnormal, and there are problems with the weighing sensor, junction box, DB-9 plug, etc. that cause significant changes in the signal. If it is a scale that has not been debugged, the fault will be automatically eliminated after debugging.
6. Display not showing
Fault analysis: The display quality window is completely dark, but the status light is on.
Solution: Firstly, check whether the power plug is securely plugged in, whether the fuse is blown, whether the cable connection is broken, and whether the input and output resistance values of the sensor meet the requirements. If the signal wire of the junction box is broken, wipe it with alcohol and solder it again, and the system returns to normal.
7. Weighing data on electronic weighbridge weighing instrument
Fault analysis: In most cases, it is due to water ingress or moisture in the junction box of the electronic weighbridge
Solution: Open the cover of the junction box, blow it with a hair dryer or expose it to the sun until it dries.
8. The electronic weighbridge display data is slightly lighter than the actual weight
Fault analysis: There is a foreign object under the electronic weighbridge body or more than one of the sensors is damaged
Solution: Check if there are any foreign objects under the scale body. If there are any, clean them up and check if they are normal. If they are still abnormal, stand at each corner of the scale. If the data in any corner is much lighter, it indicates that the sensor in that corner is damaged. Replace it to restore normal.
9. After the heavy truck is unloaded from the scale, there is always a large base weight left, such as a few hundred K.
Fault analysis: The internal circuit of the electronic weighbridge is damaged
Solution: Seal the damaged parts with waterproof adhesive.
10. The electronic weighbridge instrument displays instability, ranging from tens of kilograms to hundreds of thousands of kilograms constantly changing.
