    The electromagnetic force weighing module is often referred to as an electromagnetic force balance sensor or electromagnetic compensation weighing unit in the field of precision weighing. It is the core technical component of analytical scales and microbalances, and has a fundamental difference in working principle from the resistance strain sensor commonly used in electronic scales in daily life.


    The core operation basis of this module is the electromagnetic force compensation law and adopts a closed-loop zero balance control method. When the measured object is placed on the weighing plate, the weight of the object will generate a downward torque through the lever arm, causing the lever to undergo extremely small deflection displacement. At this time, the high-sensitivity photoelectric position sensor located at one end of the lever will immediately capture this displacement change and convert the optical signal into an electrical signal to transmit to the controller. The controller then outputs a specific current to the moving coil, which is the voice coil motor, placed in the permanent magnetic field, thereby generating an upward electromagnetic force to forcibly pull the lever back to its original balance zero position. Due to the entire control process being dedicated to restoring the lever to zero position, this fundamentally eliminates the errors caused by elastic deformation in traditional strain sensors. At this point, the electromagnetic force is exactly equal to the weight of the measured object, and there is a strict linear relationship between the compensation current and the measured mass. The processor can accurately convert the actual mass of the object by measuring this current value.


    In terms of hardware composition, a complete electromagnetic force weighing module typically includes a lever support system with high rigidity and low friction, a position sensor with nanometer level resolution, electromagnetic coils and high-performance magnets that provide dynamic compensation force, a PID adjustment circuit board responsible for high-speed computing and processing, and an overload protection limit device to prevent accidental impact damage.


    Compared to ordinary resistance strain type weighing sensors, the advantage of electromagnetic force modules is their crushing ability. Its resolution can reach 0.01 milligrams or even 0.001 milligrams, and it can easily achieve weighing accuracy of one hundred thousandth or even one millionth. The nonlinear error within the full range can usually be controlled within plus or minus 0.01 percent, and the reading stability time is very short, usually only two to five seconds to reach a stable state. At the same time, because it adopts the suspended lever principle, its sensitivity to the placement position of the measured object is relatively low, and it has strong anti bias load ability.
