Installation precautions:

(1) Measuring components

The measuring element is a measuring spring made of stainless steel, on which a strain gauge (S.G.) is applied. The arrangement of gravity accelerometers is such that when the sensor responds to force, four of them undergo strain and the other four undergo compression

(2) Environmental temperature

Compensated for the influence of temperature on zero signal and sensitivity. In order to obtain the best measurement results, it is necessary to maintain the rated temperature range. The measurement error caused by temperature is caused by heating (such as radiant heat) or cooling on one side. Radiation barriers and comprehensive insulation will result in significant improvements, but should not create forced shunt radiation shielding

(3) Water content

If extreme humidity or tropical climate means exceeding the classification limit, extreme humidity or tropical climate should be avoided (according to the EN 60529 national standard, the protection level is IP65).

(4) Sediments

Dust, dirt, and other foreign objects must not be allowed to accumulate in order to prevent the transfer of partially measured forces to the casing, thereby falsifying measurement values (force splitting).

(5) Direction of force application

The measurement direction of force should be oriented towards the sensor as much as possible. Torque and bending moment, eccentric load, and lateral force may cause measurement errors, and exceeding the limit value may damage the sensor.

(6) Cable

Do not place the measuring cable parallel to high-voltage power lines or control circuits. If it is not possible (such as in cable conduits), protect the measuring cable by using armored steel pipes and maintaining a distance of at least 50 cm from other cables. High voltage power lines and control lines should be twisted (15 turns per meter). Avoid stray magnetic fields from transformers, motors, and contactors. Do not ground sensors, amplifiers, and display devices multiple times. All devices in the measurement chain must be connected to the same grounding wire. Connect the shielding layer of the cable to the sensor housing.
