The origin of single point weighing sensors
In the discussions at the first International Industrial Weighing and Force Measurement Exhibition in 1979, a new term emerged in the terminology of sensors: "single point" force sensing. The latest generation of retail scales does not include any auxiliary flexure supporting the upper weighing software platform, which is rigidly fixed to the central sensor. The design of this type of single point force sensor is based on the parallelogram principle, but requires an additional central cross beam for attaching strain gauges to complete the task of measuring beams and deflection members in the top and bottom components of the parallelogram. Its advantage is that the strain gauges are moved away from the position where there is a twisting effect caused by eccentric loading, while increasing the rigidity of the structure. This type of force sensor needs to undergo eccentric loading test in the manufacturing plant. Apply one-third of the maximum load of the sensor in different directions within a radius of 200 millimeters. Each sensor must operate within ± 1/3000 of the center reading value, which is a typical design. Another noteworthy new news in the field of force sensors is the promotion and application of the gyroscope principle. The gyroscope force measurement system utilizes the proprietary characteristics of gyroscopes, making it a precise, linear, and highly reproducible force sensor. After studying the anti hysteresis, anti drift, and anti temperature effects of this force sensor, the gyroscope force measurement system can transmit direct digital signals to the display unit with high anti-interference ability. These characteristics make it completely independent of harsh environmental conditions. The rotor of the gyroscope rotates at a constant speed, and the horizontal axis of the rotor is installed in a universal bracket.
