Product Introduction
(1) The PS-2010T transmitter provides accurate measurement of paper web tension for applications that require small, fully functional indicators/controllers. The packaging looks like a mini PLC "brick", and the unit can be installed on DIN rails in any existing cabinet. The standard RS-485 serial port easily connects to PLC/DCS systems using traditional ASCII or optional Modbus RTU protocol. High speed, high-resolution, isolated (16 bit) 4-20mA analog output provides perfect input for the brake/clutch motor controller.
(2) The integrated LCD display and keyboard components allow for simple setup and calibration. Digital calibration technology eliminates the need for expensive and bulky machine "strapping" in most applications, and greatly simplifies the calibration of systems that need to be loaded. The standard device also includes dynamic digital filtering and eight set points.
(3) The front panel display and 16 bit analog output are updated every 8.3 milliseconds (120 updates per second). This rate provides precise control for web applications running at a speed of 2000 feet per minute or faster.
(4) Quick calibration and program setup save time, money, and even on-site service calls. Online diagnostics continuously monitor system performance and alert service personnel before potential issues occur.
