Product Introduction

The K-S2M-MONT series is an S-shaped force sensor designed specifically for tensile and compressive forces - it can be configured according to your needs. The following is an explanation of each option.

1. Range

The measurement range of this sensor is from 10 N to 1000 N.

2. Cable length

The standard version of S2M is equipped with a 6-meter cable (06M0). In addition, the sensor also offers the following cable length options: 1.5 meters (01M5) and 3 meters (03M0).

3. Plug version

If you order S2M with fixed cable, the cable ends are exposed as standard. According to the requirements, you can install a plug at the end of the cable to directly connect the sensor to your amplifier.

Y=Bare end, no plug component

F = D-sub-HD， 15 pins, used to connect MGC+(such as AP01) or Scout amplifier

Q = HD-sub-HD， 15 pins, used to connect various HBK signal conditioners in the Quantum series (MX410, Mx440, MX840, MX430, MX238)

N=MS plug, used to connect HBK signal conditioners such as MGC+(AP03), DMP, or DK38

M=M12 plug, 8-pin, used to connect digiBOX and DSE measurement amplifiers

P=CON P1016 plug, 14 pin, used to connect Somat XR series industrial amplifiers

4. Sensor recognition

You can order sensors that come with a 'Sensor Electronic Data Sheet' (TEDS, T). In this case, your sensor will be equipped with an electronic memory in which the technical parameters of the sensor have been pre programmed. If the sensor is connected to an instrument with TEDS 0-wire function (such as HBK's Quantum series or ClipX module), the instrument will automatically read the relevant data and complete the setup process automatically.

Note: TEDS cannot be equipped for the "bare wire end" version.
