Product Introduction
(1) LCp-400 Gate West is a multi scale LAN controller and communication gateway. This bridge device uses BLH Nobel Digi System Plus network communication technology to continuously scan up to 16 weighing system nodes and is equipped with Allen Bradley remote I/O or Modbus Plus network port outputs. The LCp-400 also provides traditional MODBUS RTU serial output.
(2) The Digi System Plus network is a self configuring enhanced communication link based on RS-485, operating at a speed of 57.6 Kbps over a distance of up to 4000 feet. In operation, the LCp-400 continuously scans every node on the network and updates the internal register positions with the current weighing, diagnostic, and status data. Through the gateway port, the host PLC, PC, or DCS can execute read/write commands to retrieve data without the polling and response delays commonly seen in other multi-point network configurations.
(3) In addition to network communication and gateway functions, LCp-400 is also a centralized scanning terminal that can display the weight and status information of any node on the network. At present, the LCp-400 Digi System Plus network is compatible with LCp-100 indicator/transmitter, LCp-200 indicator controller, DXp-40 transmitter, and PS-2010 controller.
